The Brant Museum Travelling Senior's Program
Let us bring the museum to you! The Senior Outreach Program is designed to bring the Brant Museum to Retirement/Assisted Living environments. The program promotes the history of Brantford and Brant County through the education of seniors who are unable to visit the Brant Museum. The Brant Museum's Senior's Program is a one-hour interactive presentation that brings a themed collection of artifacts to senior's residences once a month. A museum staff member displays the artifacts, discussing the age of the artifact, who owned it and other interesting information that would pique the listener's interest. Each month a new theme brings new artifacts that are safe enough for the participants to hold, examine, and often share memories and stories about. Past themes have included Doctors, Dentists and their Peculiar Tools, and Oh, how I love thee! A Victorian Valentine's Day.

Monthly Lecture Series
This program has been offered by the BHS since its inception. The purpose of the monthly lecture series is to provide an opportunity for the community to learn more about the history of Brantford and Brant County. A broad spectrum of community members, researchers and writers participate in the lecture series. Over the course of a year, 10 monthly lectures are offered which focus on historic topics of interest to the community. For example, past lectures have been held on topics such as "Heritage Colours and Restoration," "Railroads, Immigration and the Farm Equipment Industry," and "John Norton (Teyninhokarawen)."
