General Information

Tours are 75-90 minutes in length.

Admission is free for BHS members. $5.00 for non-members

Difficulty Ratings

Easy – Relatively flat and 2 km of walking

Moderate – Some hills and 3 km of walking

Difficult – Many hills and more than 3 km of walking


Walk #1 – Myrtleville Heritage Property Tour

Learn about the four generations of the Good Family and the role each generation played in our history.

Walk #2 – Jewish Heritage of Brantford Walk

Wander through the downtown core and learn about the heritage of one of the city’s cultural groups.

Walk #3 – Earliest History of the Fording Place

Discover the earliest history of the Fording Place from the last glacier through time until the American Revolution.

Where: Brant’s Crossing Skate Park (Behind the Casino)
Level of Difficulty: Easy, but with Stairs

Walk # 4 – Lawren Harris Walk

Learn about this famous artist’s early life in Brantford.

When: Saturday, October 17th at 10:30 AM
Where: Margaret Chandler House (W. Ross MacDonald School – St. Paul’s Avenue and Palmerston Avenue)
Level of Difficulty: Easy

Walk #5 – Murder, Mystery, and Mayhem

Brantford’s history includes some strange stories, suitable for this eerie time of year.

Hear the seldom told stories of the monuments & memorials that dot the downtown core.
